Praetorian's Video FlashlightT, HawkT, and VisionAlertT are being used by U.S. Military installations worldwide. Military applications of Praetorian include force protection, and training.
Force protection applications include:
- Fixed Site Protection, where VisionAlertT alarms constantly monitor for suspicious behaviors, such as breach, motion, tailgating, objects thrown over a fence, left-behind object, left-behind vehicle, and loitering. For improved command and control, HawkT brings video and sensor inputs from check points in various areas into the main command center. This allows redundant observation at certain critical checkpoints. Video FlashlightT; allows troops at the check point to have an immediate understanding of all activity in the area. They can conduct virtual guard tours. Chemical, biological, radiological, RFID, fire, contact sensor, and other alarms may all be integrated into Video FlashlightT; and HawkT, alerting guards to hazards in real time - without requiring another system to monitor.
- Forward Operating Base Protection, requires surveillance that is flexible, mobile, and can deal with changing situations. HawkT allows forward operating bases to be monitored from a headquarters location. A variety of cameras, such as day-night, infrared and low luxe, mounted on movable towers and equipped with VisionAlertT alert the operator of motion, breach, left-behind object, thrown object, abandoned vehicle and other alarms. Remote Flashlight capabilities allow roaming patrols to view live video from the movable cameras on their PDAs and laptops, providing them with greater situational awareness on the move.
- Reconnaissance Surveillance and Target Acquisition, is a vital tool for the combatant commander. Praetorian's Video FlashlightT; integrates video from UAVs, PTZs and surveillance balloons to help intelligence analysts detect threats throughout areas covered by sensors. Video FlashlightT; can also send up or push down intelligence through PDAs and laptops using Remote Flashlight.
- Convoy Protection presents unique challenges. Video FlashlightT's 3D display allows operators in the command center to conduct fast and safe virtual guard tours along entire sensored road systems. Video FlashlightT integrates video and radar feeds from security platforms, allowing a wide area to be covered by the system. Video FlashlightT integrates alarms from license plate, chemical, biological, and radiological sensors, for example, into the highway view. If a sensor alerts, a PTZ will automatically slue to that area, allowing operators in the command center to determine the potential threat magnitude and act accordingly. Remote Flashlight provides better situational awareness so U.S. military forces become aware of what lies ahead of the convoy. Video of alarms or areas on the road ahead can be viewed on PDAs and laptops as the convoy progresses.
For training applications, Praetorian's Video FlashlightT, pulls live video and sensor data into a 3D display to create a Live and Virtual environment. This enhanced immersive surveillance for trainers is designed to provide unparalleled situational awareness during training, comprehensive capture of video and audio, and unique rapid replay to support fast turn around of lessons learned and After Action Review (AAR) material.
